1. Crack (refers to the cracks on the capacitor causing the product to fail to operate normally). This phenomenon is usually caused by low resistance. The reasons are: chip resistor
1. Most PCBs are broken after being subjected to external force.
2. If the non-capacitor body is hit by an external force, it may be short-circuited or have low resistance.
3. Excessive external stress voltage will also cause the failure of MLCC capacitors, usually short circuit or low resistance, but such phenomena should be rare if sufficient margin is reserved.
In this case, it is usually necessary to first check whether the product needs to vibrate or shake when operating, and then check whether the product capacity meets the requirements.
2. Short-circuit burnout (referring to the fact that the capacitor is damaged when the PCB board is operated and the product cannot continue to operate). The reasons for this phenomenon generally include:
1. The capacitor package type is not large enough;
2. The reserved margin is not met;
3. The withstand voltage is too small or the product current is too large.
If this situation occurs, we need to replace the chip capacitor type and we can check the specific reasons. Then choose to replace the chip capacitor capacity or type. If you cannot find a suitable type replacement, you can connect the capacitors in parallel or series to solve the problem.
