Alloy resistor is a type of chip resistor , which mainly has a current limiting function.
Alloy resistors can be divided into several categories according to materials:
First: Manganese-copper alloy, this type of product has relatively high stability and is mainly concentrated in resistance values below 0.004R. Good stability.
Second: Iron-chromium-aluminum alloy. Iron-chromium-aluminum alloy is mainly concentrated in resistance values 0.004R and above. Good stability.
Third: Constantan alloy and conventional alloy resistance values are all acceptable.
Fourth: Nickel-copper alloy and conventional alloy resistance values are all acceptable.
Fifth: Nickel-chromium alloy and conventional alloy resistance values are all acceptable.
Sixth: Karma alloy and conventional alloys can have resistance values. This material has the highest cost, so there are very few manufacturers.
Seventh: Ceramic alloys cannot be produced with sizes below 0.001R, but they can be made with high resistance values, up to 0.75R. The corresponding resistance values for specific volumes will be different.
About materials
The mainstream alloy resistor is the chip alloy resistor. The main material of the alloy is copper, and when combined with other materials, it becomes constantan, manganese copper, etc. There are many other auxiliary materials, but the main performance is determined by the alloy material itself.
Alloy resistor uses
Due to the strong conductivity of metal, alloy resistors generally have low resistance values, such as 1 milliohm, 10 milliohm, 100 milliohm, etc. Therefore, it is often used for sampling current in circuits. It is used to feedback the changing current in the circuit to further control or influence the changes in the current. The main products used are: battery protection boards, power supplies, inverters, lamps, motors, etc.
Manufacturing process
The manufacturing process of alloy resistors is in the hands of a few manufacturers and has international influence. The quality of different manufacturers varies greatly, and the quality is mixed.
